The exhibition showcases photographs taken during field actions of Light for Romania campaign. Both volunteer efforts of Free Miorița and glimpses of everyday life of people and children living by candle light or flashlight are presented in the big photography prints.
The exhibition will be complemented by a light installations consisting of petrol lamps, the only light source available for many families, and lamp-rush-lights, a reinterpretation that unites two worlds: the contemporary world, where the lamps and electricity are the symbols of light and progress, and the rush-light, representative of an archaic yet present world, the light used by many children do their homework after dark.
