Jari Vuorinen

Lighting Designer

JARI VUORINEN is a partner and lighting design director at Lighting Design Collective Oy in Helsinki, Finland. His love for narrative driven design and his background in film lighting drives his creative approach. His methodology is holistic with focus on bringing out the character and hierarchy of the space through the media of light.

Jari has over a decade of experience in the fields of architectural lighting and film lighting. He is a graduate of the prestigious Tampere University of Applied Sciences with a BA degree in Lighting Design. Prior to joining LDC he has collaborated with Valoa design Ltd and most recently Granlund Ltd, one of the top multidisciplinary engineering offices in Finland, where he worked as a lighting designer and a project manager.

Jari has completed a number of diverse and creative lighting design projects ranging from individual art commissions to large scale retail, commercial and cultural buildings. Jari lives in Helsinki with his wife and two children.
